Do you have what it takes to be #SWISStrong? CLICK HERE to RSVP ahead of time and invite others to the event on Facebook.

FOX 47 News Anchor Sarah Swistak will be cutting off 8 inches of her hair (to be made into a wig for cancer patients) in honor of her late brother, Steve Swistak, who recently lost his second battle with Esophageal Cancer.

Dorsey School of Beauty, Lansing is offering up FREE hair cuts, FREE styling and FREE makeovers for a donation to the American Cancer Society. No appointments necessary! Just come on down, for this family-friendly, fun-filled, informative event! We’ll have information on volunteer opportunities with the American Cancer Society, and ways you can help area patients (beyond a donation or cutting your hair).

Know someone currently battling cancer? Invite them to come! The beauticians at Dorsey will give them a makeover, and local photographer, Mary Gajda, of Studio M Portraits in Holt, will be on hand to take gorgeous photos of these brave men and women (no charge!). Mary will also be taking before and after photos of all those who donate 8 inches or more of their hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths.

Show the world you’re #SWISStrong at Dorsey, Thursday, August 27th from 5:00-8:00pm. For more information, visit www.fox47news.com.
