Phlebotomy Technician

The Phlebotomy Technician program at Dorsey Emergency Medical Academy is designed to provide students with the instruction on skills necessary and information required to pursue a career as a Phlebotomy Technician. Students who successfully complete this program may also challenge the NHA Phlebotomy Certification Exam. This 90 clock-hour program consists of 60 hours of lecture and 30 hours of laboratory skills training. Students in the Phlebotomy Technician Program will be expected to participate in administering and receiving venipuncture (blood draws) during lab practice.
