The EMS training programs at Dorsey Emergency Medical Academy have been designed to empower smart, motivated people like you to achieve their dream of becoming a paramedic or emergency medical technician. Dorsey Emergency Medical Academy also offers EMS Refresher Courses and EMS Practical Continuing Education Classes for current EMS professionals.
Allied Health Programs
If you are interested in breaking into the field of healthcare and want to train to become a CNA, a necessary first step is to obtain training. The Nurse Aide program at Dorsey Emergency Medical Academy is designed to equip future nurse aide’s with the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful. Graduates of the Nursing Aide training program will be eligible to take the State of Michigan Certified Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation. Licensure is necessary in order to gain employment as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in the State of Michigan.
Dorsey Emergency Medical Academy offers American Heart Association classes at its locations in Michigan. These classes include Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers, The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) for Healthcare Providers, and the Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Healthcare Providers class.
