  • Keep records of client services, needs, and preferences.
  • Sterilize equipment and maintain a clean and tidy work area.

How long does it take to become an Esthetician?

It’s always best to research the licensure process for the state in which you’re interested in working.  Requirements may vary state to state.  In the State of Michigan, in order to become a licensed Esthetician, one has to complete no less than 400 hours of training either in a licensed school of cosmetology or as an apprentice for not less than 6 months in a licensed cosmetology establishment where skin services are rendered. Once a candidate has completed their training, they must take and pass a practical and theory exam.
