The best part of the Medical Assistant Program at Dorsey was definitely the one-on-one, hands-on academics that you get as well as the teachers who were very helpful and supportive. It’s a year program – it flies by. Its fast.
The teachers are always there for you. It’s fun, it’s a very fun course because you get all of the hands-on training. All of the hard work that I put in was definitely worth it because now I’m creating a better life for myself. I got a job right away when I graduated. It was less than a week and I…I got employed! So, I’m definitely satisfied.

In our Medical Assistant Training Program, you have the opportunity to learn a unique combination of specialized skills that are necessary for employment in a medical office, clinic, hospital, or other healthcare facility. Graduates who complete this specialized training from Dorsey’s Medical Assistant Training Program may go on to further advancement in the medical field, by way of becoming a certified Medical Assistant. Dorsey will pay the cost one time for graduates of this program to challenge a certification exam as selected by Dorsey Schools, contingent upon the graduate meeting Dorsey Schools exam preparation requirements.

Typical job responsibilities include a variety of tasks, such as supporting doctors and nurses in keeping the practice’s operations running smoothly and on schedule.
